“Grief is a most peculiar thing. It is like a window that will simply open of its own accord. But it opens a little less each time; and one day we wonder what has become of it.”

~ Arthur Golden

Why be Grief-wise

Grief is everybody’s concern. Yet it remains widely neglected. So few of us recognise the need and the value of affirming our grief, and seeking the path of existential growth in the wake of grief. Even fewer show up with compassion and courage to companion others on a grief journey.

Many of us are not individually attuned or socially groomed to traverse our grief journey with faith, strength and sense of meaning in our mourning, even though at some point in time we all have to face and embrace loss or trauma, whether by death or non-death reasons. And most of us are not socially sensitised or prepared to help others on a grief journey, even though many of us are called in life to extend grief-companioning to people we care about.

My newsletter journeys with you …

To help you become Grief-wise. The focus is on helping you uncover/cultivate your inner wisdom, and deepen it further in the context of grief-affirmation, healing, resilience, rebuilding wellbeing, post traumatic growth, deep transformation and meaningful re-emergence in life.

Through this newsletter I share with you practical insights, conceptual understanding & existential wisdom in the context of ‘Grief & Growth’ that I have learnt (and continue to) from people I work with or volunteer for in my professional practice as a ‘Grief & Growth’ Specialist & ‘Resilience, Purpose & Transitions’ Coach, my mentor & other experts. I also share tiny glimpses of my own lived wisdom that in forever emerging in my ‘Grief & Growth’ journey as a bereaved mother myself.

A bit about myself …

I write to heal, nourish, connect, grow and help others do the same. I have authored two books and several articles. My recent book “Grief ~ Growth ~ Grace - A Sacred Pilgrimage” is an immersive resource for self-help, as well as professional practice, in the context of grief & growth. My grief memoir “a mother’s cry .. a mother’s celebration” has received resonant response from bereaved mothers across several countries.

Professionally, I work as a ‘Resilience, Purpose & Transitions’ Coach’, ‘Grief and Growth’ Specialist; ‘Appreciative Inquiry’ Advisor & Master Trainer; Positive Change Expert; and a Therapeutic Writing Coach & Facilitator. I am an ICF credentialed PCC level Coach, a Professional Member of the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science & TAOS Institute Associate.

Of all things in life, I cherish my experience of motherhood the most. In sacred remembrance of my transcended son Utkarsh who independently began running pavement libraries underserved children, I run an independent library movement for the disadvantaged children in India. My life motto - “above all, remember to hope, love & smile.”
